Background
DT is named after U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on February 20, 2009, while supporting operations in Afghanistan.
The Workout
5 Rounds for Time
- 12 Deadlifts (155/105 lb)
- 9 Hang Power Cleans (155/105 lb)
- 6 Push Jerks (155/105 lb)
Use one barbell for all three movements. Complete each movement before moving to the next. Your score is your time.
Scaling Notes
- Load: Reduce the weight so hang power cleans and push jerks stay in small, consistent sets. Common scales are 95/65 or 75/55 lb.
- Beginners: An empty barbell (45/35 lb) is appropriate if the Rx load breaks down your positions.
- Keep the barbell: Scale weight before substituting movements. The point is cycling one bar through deadlift, hang clean, and jerk.
