Incline Bench Press
The incline bench press targets the upper chest and front deltoids. The angled position shifts emphasis to the clavicular head of the pectoralis major.

How to Perform Incline Bench Press

1Set the bench to a 30-45 degree incline.

2Lie back and grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width.

3Unrack the bar and position it over your upper chest with arms locked.

4Lower the bar in a controlled manner to your upper chest.

5Press the bar up and slightly back toward the rack, fully extending your arms.

6Keep your feet flat on the floor and shoulder blades retracted.

7Control the weight throughout—don't bounce off your chest.
