Front Squat
The front squat places the barbell on your front deltoids, forcing a more upright torso and emphasizing quad development. It's excellent for Olympic lifting preparation.

How to Perform Front Squat

1Set up in a squat rack with the bar at upper chest height.

2Position the bar on your front deltoids, crossing your arms to secure it or using a clean grip.

3Step back and set feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly out.

4Keep elbows high (parallel to the ground) throughout the movement.

5Squat down while maintaining an upright torso—more vertical than a back squat.

6Drive through your feet to stand, keeping elbows up to prevent the bar from rolling forward.
